Earlier I talked about some lighting options that can be easily set at home, today I will tell you how to make a tasteful change in the look of the house through soft furnishings and some of its styles without making a big change in the color of the walls and floor of the rented house. But I know many people are already confused. So let’s know what soft furnishing is first.
What is soft furnishing?
Simply put, interior decoration items made of soft materials, whatever they are, are all soft furnishings. What’s inside it?? Mattresses, bed covers, pill covers, cushions, sofa covers, window curtains, table runners, throw rugs, floor rugs, and carpets are all. It is said that soft furnishings make a house a house!
What do you do after returning from the office tired in the evening? Are sitting at the expensive dining table? Or lean on the sofa cushions?
Where to sleep comfortably at night? Millions of teak closets? Or a soft mattress? With soft kantha wraps? No matter how expensive the bed is? But comfort comes from soft furnishing… even without a bed, sofa sets, beautiful rugs, shataranchi, or toshak covers can be used on the floor to live a very comfortable life!
Soft furnishings are more important than wooden furniture for the house!
Why be a little creative with soft furnishings?
* If you want to give a new look to old furniture.
* If you want to change the mood of the house.
* If you want to do something special for the occasion or guest.
* If you want to do maximum decoration on a low budget.
What to keep in mind when styling?
1. Cushion:
A cushion is such a versatile thing that it will look good anywhere on the floor, sofa, or bed. But keep in mind whether the design of the cushion goes with the theme of the room. Just as a cushion cover in Dhumke Arang’s Kantha Stitch won’t fit in a room decorated in a modern monochrome theme, a pop art cushion with a print of ‘B A Rebel’ will not fit in a room decorated in traditional tones. Keep the theme.
You can layer cushions of two sizes (large and small) at the head of the bed, throw a small cushion in the corner of the drawing-room, and throw two cushions of different designs on it for any occasion. Use cushions to make the house comfortable and inviting, you will see that even without buying a heavy king-size bed or divan, sofa, or chair, there will be no shortage of places to sit and recline comfortably in your house.
2. Bed Cover:
Are you one of those people who go to the trade fair once a year and buy a huge floral bed cover? And while decorating the house for the festival, spread the sheet on the bed and think – Why is my house not a little modern?
Avoid flowers, fruits, vines, and leaves when choosing bed covers. It’s not saree Punjabi that looks better with more designs and stitches. It is impossible to sit or sleep comfortably on sewn bed sheets! Please don’t spoil the beauty of your expensive furniture by laying a bed sheet that looks like crap!
Try decorating the room in monochromatic (various shade tones of the same color). Choose bed sheets and kantha blankets in similar color shades. It will go with the room, the eye will go to the furniture, and the overall will be comfortable.
3. Rugs/Floor Covers:
Don’t forget to suffocate the room with Irani/Fake Irani-designed carpets in home style for rent! Instead, bring home a single colored small rug, and put it under the table. Or leave small throw rugs on the sofa. Faux fur throw rugs are quite the rage these days. These small rugs can be easily moved around and changed. What is the need to buy a carpet like Jagaddal stone with a lot of money?
On the off chance that you have any inquiries concerning delicate goods, if it’s not too much trouble, let me know. In the future, I will talk about interior decoration with soft furnishings on a very budget. So if you have questions about it, you can tell us in the comments.
