Another thing, don’t forget the color of the roof! Many times the height of the room is reduced due to the dark color of the ceiling. A 10-foot high room looks like a 7-foot room due to this mistake. A slightly darker shade of the wall color can be used for the roof. But, in my rented house, there is no room to experiment with colors:
Very annoying situation, isn’t it? Nothing can be done even if you want to. If you don’t like the current color of the house or want to change the color because it clashes with the furniture, you can do something instead:
*Can use wallpaper. Wallpaper is usually applied by calculating the square feet of carpeting area of each wall. The paste is applied over existing plaster using primer. It does not damage the plaster of the house. Banani, Elephant Road – Interior shops in these areas have a variety of wallpapers. You can buy it by looking at the sample and matching it with the color of the room. A wall in any room that you want to focus on is great for wallpapering. Don’t put Jabarjung wallpaper on all the walls!
* You can use a few large pictures of simple white frames on any one of the focus walls of the room. Artwork in a light color palette framed by a light simple frame in a dark distressed room creates the illusion of increased light and size in the room. Similarly, don’t make huge prints of photos taken with the Jabberjung camera and hang them in the house. Keep color prints of your own or family photos on your desktop. Not on the wall.
*Similarly, instead of spending a lot of money to bring a touch of color to the boring cream or beige house, use colorful art. The identity of taste and intellect will be revealed simultaneously. Of course, the intelligent use of a few cushions that match the focal artwork can change the look of the room in an instant.
* You can hang curtains from the wall. It must be light and one color. Many people see the print screen in their house and buy something like that and hang it in their 10-foot room. Even just from the window! What happens in this? The height of the room seems low. In small rooms, curtains must hang from the ceiling or ceiling 6 inches below the floor. This means the entire height of the room.
*The use of curtains of one color from the head of one wall of a dark-painted room and headlight can lighten the tone of the room and create an open feeling. You can try this method if you have such a dark room.
* Large floor-to-ceiling mirrors can be used in any room. Of course, the frame will be very simple and light tone. The size of the room is very large with the use of mirrors.
If these tips are used wisely in the new home, it is possible to decorate any small space according to your mind. And remember two thumb rules-
* Small cot is wrong because you like it in the store and you will like it at home. So don’t fill the house unnecessarily with small things.
*Keep the color palette in mind, even if you buy a small salt shaker, always keep in mind that it matches the theme of the room. The main color palette must be maintained.
